Revision as of 22:09, 17 January 2008

--Edmiao 10:08, 17 January 2008 (MST)Our wiki got hacked. i deleted it. see history for this talk page. The previous post "Love: make peace not war" or whatever i had guessed was Jason's thursday group or one of you jokers, but it may have been a spam probe.

--Matts 10:59, 17 January 2008 (MST)We may want to lock it down to registered users only. Jason?

Gabe: Yeah that was odd, ah man then I have to sign in at work and can't be laaaazzzzy. Weren't those posts about shitty doctors or something?

--Jason 17:35, 17 January 2008 (MST)It would be possible to make it users only, but, of course, anyone can make an account. It would stop anonymous posts, but as soon as spammers figure that out, the cover is blown.

--Edmiao 18:37, 17 January 2008 (MST) I was going to say that it seems to be an isolated incident, but apparently not. can we make it new accounts by invitation only or something? what do these guys get out of it, i don't think anyone in their right mind would click one of those links. I bet that it's a bot doing the spamming so we might as well try account only editing.

--Gdaze 19:16, 17 January 2008 (MST)Yeah, I think account only editing should work.

--Matts 20:04, 17 January 2008 (MST)can you set it up so accounts need to be personally authorized by somebody, like one of us, or any of us?
