Audrey Miller

Audrey is a teenage runaway who fled abusive parents and a family who staunchly refused to intervene. She is fierce and independent, hardened by years of living on the street, mooching off friends and family, and hustling. Petra hired her because she needed somebody who knew the streets and possessed strength of character. Audrey runs the front desk and performs most of the clerical duties for the clinic. She enjoys the power and security her job provides, two things she was sorely lacking in her life up to now.

Unable to change her life fully for the better, Audrey still clings to petty crime and hanging out with a tough crowd since that is what she knows and is, perversely, comfortable around. This gets her into trouble with the police now and again but never anything too serious. Audrey knows what dollar amount she can shoplift before it becomes a felony if caught, for example. Her attitude towards authority is combative and her mouth gets her into trouble.

Audrey is a little self-destructive has a devil-may-care attitude towards life. She's a mostly reliable employee but only because she doesn't have any better option.
