El Mano de Oro
El Mano del Oro... That is what his name is now. He grew up much like any other Grundle child. Fighting for food, fighting for jobs, fighting to survive. He was always strong though. At an early age he learned that he could get what he wanted if he was just strong enough. At the age of 12 an old man approuched him. He told the young boy that he was a master of Dragon Jaw Style, a very powerful martial art. He offered the young boy to become his student. Of course he jumped at such an oppurtunity. The master paid his paretns a very gernous amount to take away their child and they left for the mountains. There he trained. This training was like no other. Very harsh, day in and day out. After 6 years at the school, he had enough of it.
So at the age of 18 he ran off, back to the city. There he easily found work. Usually beating the living shit out of people. Of course his favorite targets were rich people from other countries rather then his own. He hated how it seemed the rest of the country was "enlightened" but did nothing to help his country. At 20 he moved, or ran due to legal reasons to Uusam. For awhile he laid low, getting odd jobs as a heavy laborer. Until one day someone came to visit him. It was one of his fellow students when he had studied under Master Gau Don. The student told him that he should come back, that the Master was ill. He couldn't though. He fealt like a coward for leaving the training hall early. This made the young man sing into depression. For the next 4 years he fought quite a bit. Sometimes for money, but usually to just help him forget everything. He started to get a name for himself amoung the local street gangs. But he never joined them. He found their treatment of hookers and shop keepers to be disgusting. Although he was a loner and sometimes a drunk, he did have a kind streak at times. Thent he war broke out when he was 24. He finds it funny when his comrades help defend Konn. Funny how they are so quick to use his fellow country men to die to protect THEIR way of life. Then someone approuched him. He told him he had been watching him fight. Yeah so what? El Mano del Oro thought. Then the person told him that he would pay him... for a mission, of the up most importance. Assassinate the Emperor. At first El Mano del Oro just laughed.
But as it turned out, the man was serious. And the money was great.
Hmmm... why not... He wasn't doing anything better, the pay was good, and
it was a chance to show the world was Grundle was made of.
