Isha Reese
Growing up as a loner and a juvenile delinquent, Isha had been in and out of the system over the years for petty crimes like shoplifting, vandalism, and breaking and entering. With an uncertain future looming in front of her, she decided to join the army after miraculously graduating high school to straighten herself out.
After completing basic training, Isha went on to become an infantryman and was deployed to Afghanistan. There, she became very close friends with the three others who made up her fireteam. They often spent even their off hours socializing together and for the first time in her life, Isha felt like she found a place she belonged. Though they all swore to keep in touch and continue spending time together even after their deployment ended, Isha was seemingly the only one willing to uphold the promise. The others eventually got married, started families, built careers, and slowly faded away.
With deployment after deployment having the same disappointing ending, Isha became more and more closed off to the world. She eventually took her leave of the army with an honorable discharge. Though she was far more disciplined and stayed out of trouble with the law, Isha was dismayed to learn that she was no further in figuring out her life as she was when she was 17. Just needing a way to survive, she now works as a bartender at The Chapel in Capitol Hill.
