Ka is a Wheel

As many of you know Im not much of a reader. One (quite possibly the only) series of books I did finish and enjoy greatly was Stephen King's Dark Tower. It was 7 books that just concluded like 2 years ago. I always found Roland DeSchain to be one of my favorite characters in any story anywhere. I was always disappointed when bad things happened to him, and even being as obsessed as I am with finishing things I said I would not finish the series if he died.

One driving theme in this series is Ka[1]. We spend all this time trying to somewhat artificially link our characters so that we can move the story. I wonder how it would work to use a device such as this to bond the characters.
