Kultis V

Kultis V is one of the few remaining Hiss'Ist planets in the Terran Union sector. It was once a human colony, but 150 years ago it was attacked and overrun by the Hiss'Ist in the 'land grab' that led to the first Terran-Hiss'Ist Conflict. Today it lives in a state of uneasy cease fire with the TU, near the periphery edge, as a sort of bridge between the two sectors.

Population and Culture

The population on Kultis V is a dense 5,000,000,000. It, like all Hiss planets, is a tech 8 culture that is struggling to achieve tech 9 in any way possible. Because of its frontier nature the planet and surrounding environs are very militarized with a low saturation of art and other cultural signatures. In this way it has been compared to a Spartan civilization, yet this comparison is only slightly valid.

Trade

Because of their interest in growing their technical know-how the Hiss'Ist are eager to trade for all sorts of high tech devices. Their mines are rich in Lithium, Iridium, Osmium and other high density power metals, and gold is abundant as well. They are generous with these as long as the proposed trade is of sufficient technical value.
