Leonidas II
In the nearly 500 years since Terran patrols first discovered the Leonidas system the severe ice age it has always known (or at least the inhabitants cant remember otherwise) has begun to subside. The population has also seen steady resurgence since the Bug invasion of 2297, yet the 11 million inhabitants is barely 25% of its previous number. And yet, they were still the first non-human colony to be invited to join the Terran Union.

With the receding ice floes comes the revelation that the planet is nearly covered in expansive, virgin wilderness. This has become the focus of many off-worlders, who often come to experience some of the best hunting anywhere.
Government
The government on Leonidas II is a republic, and one of the most efficient in the galaxy.
Citizens and Attitudes
The majority of citizens are staunchly Liberterian and value freedom very highly. This leads to a strong dislike for oppressive societies such as the Azuriach Imperium.
