Neural Interface Helmet

The neural interface helmet is the device used by the aliens, most notably the Grays, to control and operate some of their machinery and drones. It uses sensitive detection gear to read neural impulses from specific regions of the brain to control input, and stimulates neural activity in the occipital cortex and other neural centers to send sensory input directly to the user's brain, bypassing the sensory organs themselves.

Using the neural interface helmet, one can control the Cyberdisk drones, and the gunnery stations on alien spacecraft. There may be other applications, as well.

Stage 1 research into this technology has been completed. The mechanisms by which it operates is understood, and it can be used effectively. It cannot be replicated at this time.
