Scarface
Run using the cyberpunk system, this game would be the story of an enterprising and ruthless drug dealer (one of the players) and his equally ambitious friends and family (the rest of the players).
It would start with small-time drug running, but by the final act, if the players have played it right, they'll be defending a criminal empire that spans most of a large city, and at the head of a distribution network that spans the globe.
Dramatis Personae:
- A Fixer, the erstwhile Al Pacino of this game
- One or more Solos, the Muscle
- A Corporate, responsible for Logistics and Management
- A Boosterganger, ear to the Streets
- Possibly a Netrunner, dealing with the Information Infrastructure
- A Medtechie, expert of Pharmeceuticals
- A Wheelman, in charge of Transportation
The theme would be dark, of course, but there's another side to this, which is what makes gang movies so compelling in the first place: It's a portrait of unchecked ambition, the American Dream attainable by anyone without prerequisite of class or birth or education; all that's required is a deranged desire to win.
