The date is February 6. The Special Mayoral Election is entering its final stages, with polls opening the following Tuesday. Today looks to be a simple day, with none of the body politic realizing the bizarre rituals and machines conjured beneath their feet only days before.

The New York Stock Exchange, celebrating a Half-Bank Holiday, opens late, at noon.

The Trial of the Juice is set to begin in a week.
