There's Work to be Done
With heavy hearts about the destruction at Wolf 359, the USS Niven and her crew still had a job to do. Once the nacelle damage sustained from chasing the Obsidian Order ship was mostly repaired, we were underway to find the Scientific Free Thinker's collective. The information we were given narrowed down two possible locations. One was a planetary system where supply trails led and the other was leading to a bank. We were heading to Vorak IV in the Vorak system following the trail to the supply outpost.
Red Tape
Upon arrival in orbit of Vorak IV, I assembled and accompanied the away team to Transo Station. We were greeted kindly by a woman who took us to speak with Chancellor Henrik. We discussed our situation and he relented to giving us information on the ships that have come and gone from the station under good faith that we would send over properly filled out paperwork and statements of official business. It's times like these that I am especially thankful for my administrative staff.
Commander Hazor Dyan was able to meet with a Damon Lozak who allegedly had some information on where a shipment of goods were sent. He had managed to negotiate a deal with him and now had coordinates to a location in space near the bank we were to check out next.
Anyone Home?
When we arrived at the coordinates we were given, it was a little disconcerting that there was nothing around. Lieutenant Joran Maniersi fine tuned scans and managed to find a hidden station of some sort. It was likely that this was our secret collective we were looking for.
We opened hailing frequencies and sent a message identifying ourselves. The hail was received, but there was a long pause before an answer, voice only, replied. When we mentioned we had custody of Dr. Cain and that he was unconscious, a woman who introduced herself as Liu came on screen. She stated to bring Cain and only four of my most trusted companions on board the station's medical bay.
