Crew Chatter
--Edmiao 12:42, 25 March 2007 (MST) Aedil, the Warrior Zealot Combination of the muscle plus archeaologist plus religious nut job.
--Dieter the Bold 18:25, 31 March 2007 (MST) I'd like to be a grease monkey (more Crew Chief Tyrol from BSG. Preferrably not with a strong history with the corps. How specialized a grease monkey will depend on what card I draw in the Prologue. My other interest is a face-man.
--Gdaze 11:25, 2 April 2007 (MST) Well I guess I could be the captin since we don't have one... I dunno, I like our whole sciency feel.
--Matts 12:00, 2 April 2007 (MST)High stakes gambler and math prodigy, but with that can go whichever crew position is in need of help: captain, navigator, pilot, helot, etc
--BenofZongo 00:17, 8 April 2007 (MST)I've made a few changes to the support characters: the medic now has as his secret identity a spy rather than an assassin, and I've focused the preacher down a bit. I've also adjusted Salo's character to take advantage of some of the things she gave the character. I'll show y'all the character sheets friday if you want to see them.
--BenofZongo 21:16, 8 April 2007 (MST)Ok, just to clear up a few things: first, if a disad. I assigned you doesn't jive with the background you want to write, email me and tell me why and suggest an alternative: I wanted to have the GM assigned Disads. to add some flavor to the characters, but it seems like you all did a good job of that already, so I'm open to adjusting the ones I gave you. Second, the name of the disad is unimportant: if I gave you Chatterbox, it doesn't have to mean that you talk all the time, it just means that people around you find it a bit hard to concentrate: maybe you incessantly pray, or shuffle cards, or play solitaire, or clean your weapon, or whatever. Read the game effect and decide for yourself what aspect of your character is represented by this.
--BenofZongo 22:32, 8 April 2007 (MST)Also, note that nobody spent any fortune points to give the ship a point of storytelling. That means that if it dies, it dies. Just making sure people, you know, read the fortune point page and knew they could do that and everybody didn't want to do it.
--BenofZongo 22:56, 8 April 2007 (MST)When y'all transported the rescue crew to Nestor 1, did you say "don't tell people we got you here with a Jump-Ship" or did you say "spread the word, were jumpin' and open for business!" or something in between?
--Dieter the Bold 00:53, 12 April 2007 (MST) I vote we said, "Let people know The Golden Fleece got you here at incredible speed, but no need to mention anything about jumping. Also, if we could talk Ed's or Salo's characters in to dropping another Fortune Point to the ship it would be awesome. Gabe doesn't have any and I only have 2, which I wouldn't mind keeping. I'm willing to drop it if neither of the other two are, but they both have around 3 times what I do.
--Edmiao 08:27, 12 April 2007 (MST) why does the ship need one of my precious fp? i traded down cards to get those
--Gdaze 09:00, 12 April 2007 (MST) Because don't you have like six rerolls already? Five is still a huge amount. The ship only has one so far. The ship is what keeps us moving and what keeps us alive in space so yeah... I would give it one but I had to spend mine in the character making.
ALSO! PLEASE make sure one of you takes type one starship weapons!
--Matts 09:50, 12 April 2007 (MST)Nobody HAS to spend any fate points on the ship, so if ed doesn't want to, he doesn't need to. Also, the soldier has starship weapons.
--Gdaze 09:53, 12 April 2007 (MST) I'm just saying reasons why we might want to do it! Hmm, I still think it would be good for one more person to pick it up. I have it, but I'm also the pilot. I mean it is only 3 or 4 points to pick it up at a decent level.
--Edmiao 13:50, 12 April 2007 (MST) The ship needs storytelling points to permit rerolls on stuff like, you missed your navigation roll, or we really need to shoot that meteor and stuff like that. please see the The Path of the Moirae, where I believe characters can spend storytelling points on other characters. thus, the Gods (who normally bless Aedil) can bless Aedils companions when on the ship! yes, that's right, you too can breathe the fires of Valhalla.

--Gdaze 09:58, 12 April 2007 (MST) Ben is there anyway we could have like a overhead kinda map? Just to get a rough idea of where things are in relantion to one another? That'd be mucho helpful, at least for me, in getting a better idea of what the universe is like.
