Droney

This is the moniker given to the drone AJ and Brock captured. It was able to tamper with AJ's phone in such a way as to be able to communicate with him through it via text messages. It was uncertain at first to AJ and others whether the source of the messages being sent were from the drone itself, or from someone else who was controlling the drone. Through questioning, though, it became clear that someone (Draco) was the source, though the group still gave Droney it's own quasi-identity.

Droney accompanied the group to a meeting with Governor Jay Inslee. They intended to use it as proof of alien contact and that the meteor strikes (the Sweeps) were not a natural phenomenon, but rather an extraterrestrial planetary assault. The governor's reaction to Droney was highly suspicious, however, and the group left it with the governor as sort of a bargaining chip to ensure their safe departure. Shortly after they left, Draco tripped Droney's self-destruct when the governor and his WSP executive security detail tried to hack the drone's systems to pinpoint the location of Draco's ship. It is presumed that the blast killed the governor, who was most likely the victim of some kind of alien mind-control.
