Javier Mandelos
That Bastard General Carver ... Dieter the Bold
Javier was born on Kathil, February 21st 3027 and orphaned several months after his 5th birthday from a Capellan raid. Adopted and raised by the Illician Lancers, Javier was gifted with a BattleMech before departing to attend the Goshen War College, thanks to a recommendation from one of his mentors, an alumnus of the College. After graduating with honors, Javier served two tours within the Federated Suns with no particular distinctions. He did, however, meet and marry his wife, Maria Vachelos, the niece of an Illician Lancer MechWarrior, while on his first tour.
Eager to finally earn his combat stripes, Javier got his wish and more when he saw vicious combat with the 22nd Avalon Hussars during their raiding campaigns along the Clan front. Severely wounded twice, Javier spent good chunks of his 4 years with the 22nd recuperating at veteran hospitals. Now sporting admirable combat skills, a bionic right leg and a much compromised digestive system, Javier has been reassigned to a sister unit, the 20th Avalon Hussars, in the quiet Kearney Combat Region. Having celebrated his 30th birthday shortly before leaving to join the 20th, Javier hopes to have some time to reflect and discuss the future with his wife.
