Previously, on the Evergreen Initiative:

While traveling to the Wobbler solstice celebration, Team RTH came got stuck in the mud from a torrential downpour. While trying to unstick the V-150, Marcus Meyerbos noticed a USGS marker and called everyone out to search for another Evergreen Initiative bolthole. After a relatively short search, Team RTH found the bolthole and found another survivor, Gustav Augustus of Team Sierra Tango Bravo. While Charlotte St. Claire and Ford Lincoln Mercury got "Gus" up and oriented, Marcus and Pi Heinzen went back to work on the V-150 and soon found themselves approached by a group of travelers. Friendly contact was established with Clan Rising Sun of the Taholah peoples led by Zeke & his wife Chandra, traveling with Marie, Leon, Sonny and Chiba. They expressed great interest in knowledge of the Forefathers, apparently their term for those who lived before "Death came from the above!" Pi and Gus introduced Clan Rising Sun to the lore of MacGuyver, and the Marcus had to ride a horse back to the bolthole when everyone stopped for lunch and realized that Ford had been left behind. Ford finally came out with the still functional power unit for Gus's stasis pod and rode back to the group with Marcus hunted up some from fresh meat and dragged it back a little later.

After arriving at the Solstice Gathering, the Team managed some sleep before being inundated by people interested in trading and seeing the people who liberated Riverton. Several people were directed along to Riverton, including Michelle Rubin and Jack LeGrand, who possessed a lot of spent shell casings and handyman skills, respectively. Clan Eagle, sister clan to Rising Sun, were also very interested and friendly, but the third clan, Orca, seems to be deeply involved in raiding coastal settlements. Pi and Gus worked on creating a modern physical and cultural map of the area.

While bedding down for the night, the Team was awoken by Kent and Cybil, parents of a missing child named Mikey. They thought he might have been snatched away into the dangerous woods holy to the Wobbler sect. After some pleading, the group went to talk to the Wobblers and were disconcerted to feel the effects of the ground vibrations about the Wobbler buildings under construction. Pi and Charlotte were given permission to delve into the woods in search of Mikey. Gus and Ford stayed to talk to the Wobblers, while Marcus monitored events from inside the V-150. Barely an hour had passed before Pi came fleeing back to the Wobbler camp in a panic and with a streak of her hair turned white! She said that Charlotte had been lost and they hadn't found the child. The rest of the group gathered their courage and went in, where Marcus quickly picked up the trail, leading them into a fight with strangely muscled beasts of humanoid build. Suffering some fierce claw wounds, the team managed to fight off the beasts and retrieve both Charlotte and Mikey.
