Previously, on That Bastard General Carver

Facing off against their enemy, 3/3/3 Lance found themselves outnumbered, but not outclassed. Having the edge in weight, accurate missile bombardment from Pete Bradshaw's Crusader and skilled maneuvering by Nigel Council in his Griffin kept the enemy off-balance while Javier Mandelos took his Banshee right up the center. Despite the free-for-all, only minor damage was inflicted on the city, but West House was flattened when the enemy Huncback walked itself inside (and a fire started by one of the Banshee's PPCs didn't help either). After tearing apart an enemy Commando, the lightest 'Mech on the field, and blowing an arm off the leader's JägerMech, communications were opened and a withdrawal was negotiated. 600 tons of frozen seafood was "requisitioned" from nearby warehouses and the raiders, now identified as Lt. Gary Palmer's Lance of the Dawn Imperium, left behind the Commando and Hunchback.

Despite minimal collateral damage and only several civilians killed or injured, Count Rivirni was furious that valuable foodstuffs had been taken and pressured the Lance for an enormous settlement. Out of his depth and wanting to avoid making a noble enemy, Javier agreed to deed the Hunchback to the Count and accept a 500k debt. The Company lifted off soon after and rendezvoused with a task force from the 20th that was on its way for a reprisal raid against the Dawn Imperium on Pilar. 3/3 Company was ordered to Blue Star to hold as reserves, and the company is now taking some liberty at the only settlement on the moon, waiting for the call back to action.
